Really thrilled by how they took care of my grand dad. He hasn't been the best recently and we felt putting him in a Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center was the best way to go.
He loved everything about it - the rooms, the food, the other people there - the staff. He didn't want to go home at the end!
Thank you Dry Harbor Nursing home! My grandpa now has a far better quality of life and have you to thank for it.

I would like to let you know about the wonderful nurses & staff on the second floor at Dry Harbor Rehab. They are amazing with the love & care they provide to the residents. Every day, I was happy to greet the nurses, the maids, and all of the staff members with smiles and hugs for the great service they provide for my mom and all the other residents. Dry Harbor has an amazing group of nurses on the floors - they have become our family, and we love each and every one of them. Dry Harbor also has another outstanding employee named Renee at the front desk. She is a big asset to the company. That girl is on top of things! On top of answering calls very professionally, there is no task she can't handle. She always greets everyone with a smile on her face and is always willing to help a person in need. In closing, I am happy to recognize all of Dry Harbor for the amazing jobs that they do.

Other than the slow elevator, this place was great. I went for my monthly visit to see my grandmother who has been a resident for years, and as always, she was in good spirits and was truly cared for by the staff. While she's not in the greatest shape overall, her issues began long before she arrived. Whenever a new medical issue arose, the medical staff was quick to uncover it and treat it aggressively.
Bravo to Dry Harbor Nursing Home! From other reviews that I've read - many others are not nearly as good :(

I was a rehab patient at Dry Harbor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Middle Village in mid-2015. Following my surgery, I was in bad shape physically, but the excellent Dry Harbor Rehab staff got me up and walking much faster than I or my doctors expected. Their dedication was second to none, and I highly recommend them to anybody who finds him / herself in a similar situation. Thank you Dry Harbor!

My great uncle started living at Dry Harbor when he could no longer take care of himself at home. He stayed there for the rest of his life, and I've never seen him happier! Part of that was the removal of his responsibilities as a homeowner, but he seemed to really enjoy all the activities the nursing home provided for residents. The only complaint he ever mentioned to us was about a slow elevator. We just told him that given the state of the nursing home industry, that was the least of his worries. Dry Harbor is a true gem in an industry that sorely needs more like them.

Re: August 16 Through September 6, 2015
I was a resident at Dry Harbor as noted above. The facility was well beyond my expectations. It became my home away from home, but better. I was made to feel well taken care of and looked over by your staff of professional people who seemed dedicated to people such as myself recovering from surgery and who had a need to rehabilitate and rest.
Treatment by the staff was well beyond expected. By the time of dismissal, I felt I gained an extended family. I was sad to leave them, especially the nursing staff on the fourth floor who oversaw a medical problem that developed. The floor aides were wonderful and would sit with me while they oversaw the day room. They were both doing their job and keeping me company to pass my time. The aides assigned to me daily were especially helpful and literally went out of their way to see that I was comfortable. The recreation staff constantly saw that I had activities to occupy. I think I even learned art skills. The transporters were always patient and cheery. The traveling entertainers were awesome.
The staff at Physical and Occupational Therapy were outstanding. The people there worked with me to help me regain physical strength. But they were also there as a moral support. I could actually feel myself becoming stronger daily both in body and in spirit.
Everyone on Dry Harbor’s staff was well organized and worked cooperatively with each other making my days at the facility much more relaxed, and, therefore it enabled me to concentrate on recovery. They are truly well selected. Everyone was truly caring and seemed geared to their particular jobs at the facility.

My room at Dry Harbor was outstanding and kept clean. The TV and telephone was an additional bonus to me because I was enabled to keep a link with the outside world, particularly my friends and family. I therefore did not become target of a feeling of losing connection with others.
I truly felt I was on a vacation. There was no need to worry about food as it seemed like gourmet meals were served. Portions were plentiful, and variety was the case. I never got bored with the meals as there was always something special served constantly.
Should the need for me to enter a nursing home arise, I will definitely consider Dry Harbor.
Very truly yours,
Alice Jaworsky

Great place for your loved one to stay to get better. I was pretty shocked when I was told I could get a free cab to visit my grandma. I can't believe they provided that! Also, the nurses were caring and they pay attention to all detail when it came to my grandma. 5 thumbs up

Everything about Dry Harbor is very nice. My aunt stayed here for rehab back in March and she was happy there. Whenever I came to visit, the staff was friendly and warm. They care a lot about the residents here and the rehab program is amazing! She was home and better within a few weeks. Food is okay, but what can you expect? I know they cant have food loaded with salt but it is HOT when it arrives at least.

I have visited many facilities in the hope to find the best one for my wife, and the one facility that impressed me the most was this one. Dry Harbor is a very welcoming and friendly facility, and they offer free cab service for family pick up, which was convenient for me because I am unable to drive after having several operations done on my legs. The facility is maintained neatly and is decorated with beautiful flowers. The first day my wife was brought in, the facility members gave her a free first day outfit and brought her lovely flowers. My wife is able to watch television and make phone calls for free, which is a big bonus because she can call me and the rest of our family whenever she wants and watch television without outrageous costs. My wife also enjoys that she receives free newspapers because she loves reading current events and the comics. They facility contains 120 rehab beds, and 360 beds in total. In the beginning, I was very hesitant to be away from my wife, but because she needs special caring and needs I had no choice, however I am very blessed to have found Dry Harbor because it is the perfect place for her and she loves it.
