Overall

Got a quote to replace the floor on a 12x12 deck in the amount of $2,800. Figuring, because I got a separate quote for materials, $350 for materials, that would leave nearly 40 hrs of labor at their rate of $63/hr. It would take no more than 16. They are a rip-off!

We want you to know what to expect at the end of the project so you can set realistic expectations for your initial budget. We have 37 years of home repair, remodeling, and new construction experience that go into estimating what your budget should be for what you want done and we want to make sure you know what your project will cost before starting instead of finding out at the end. Nearly all of our work is time & material based, so you’re only charged for the time we’re actually working on your project and any materials needed for your project, so in the end, our estimate is a rough initial budget, not a final price. If you are gathering multiple estimates, we understand that we will be on the higher end of the price range and even if you don’t use our services, consider using our estimate as a budget for your project.

Don’t have the time or tools for those nagging household tasks? Simply call or e-mail us with your needs. We will schedule an appointment with one of our experienced Service Technicians who will arrive at your door in a well-equipped truck. We have a 1-hour minimum, so we can perform even the smallest of jobs economically. We can make your deck or screen porch virtually maintenance free - no painting, staining and even no visible nails or screws! Many decks and screen porches are at an age where deck-boards and railings are in dire need of maintenance. We can remove those old wood deck boards and rotten railings and replace them with brand new, maintenance free composite boards and PVC, aluminum, or stainless steel cable railings. We can also re-screen your screen porch with virtually invisible charcoal fiberglass screen and easy snap in/out screen caps for easy future repair. We can do this work right through the winter so your deck or screen porch would be ready for you in the Spring! Unfortunately, until the weather warms enough to fully thaw the ice dam, there isn’t much that can be done. Ice dams are caused by improper roof insulation and heat escaping and melting snow that’s accumulated on your roof then running down and refreezing over cold soffits. This then creates a dam at the edge of the roof that creates a pool of water that infiltrates normal home water-proofing and causes a leak. We can look at your ice-damming problem and offer temporary fixes, but the typical solution is to wait until warmer weather to repair the water-damage and add insulation to prevent further heat loss.
