        A dr. from this group was to install a PICC line on 4/13/17 at Milford Hospital. He had a problem, so he tried another, not normally used. vein. He installed a 14 cm. line that stopped at the shoulder & labeled it a "PICC line." It wasn't; it was actually a mid-line. It failed after 3-4 wks, leaking blood & fluid. An interventionist nurse at St. Raphael's replaced it with a real PICC line.
