The pampered pet

I made a morning appointment for my long-haired cat who had several mats, and when I got there I had a bad feeling. The space was very cramped, and although the owner professed his love for animals, something felt off. He had my cat all day, and was not ready when I showed up just before 5:00 in the afternoon. He had to ask me where my cat's fur was matted! Then he & his wife grabbed my cat by the scruff of the neck and stood him up on his hind legs, and began to comb his fur extremely roughly - ripping through the mats. I will never go back, and have told all my friends what a horrible experience it was.
