STAY FAR, FAR AWAY! I have used other Eye Health Service locations with excellent results (Quincy, Dorchester Carney Hospital, So. Weymouth) but have had the WORST experience with Milton Eye Health. When my regular eye dr. left the Quincy/Dorchester area, I was seen in Milton and it was horrible. The exam rooms were dirty, I told them I was there for contact lens adjustment and they did a full exam and dilated me without telling me, leaving me unable to pick up my son on time from school. When I complained I was not told of the dilation, they dismissed me by saying "you should have known that's what we would do". Then they tell me they don't really do contacts and i had to go to So Weymouth. I was seen in So Weymouth and it was fine and the contact lens was sent to Milton for pick up as I live in Milton. I had no idea even picking up a contact lens would be a disaster. They tried to charge me full price but I explained it was covered under insurance. They also told me my insurance was not accepted at their location (untrue!) When I asked them to call the insurance, THEY REFUSED! I left without my contact lens and very upset, and called insurance myself who verified that yes I was covered and of course I was right to be at Eye Health Services as it is a provider. By then it was almost 5 pm and when insurance rep called them to clarify, they told her THEY DID NOT HAVE MY CONTACTS. I saw them and held them in my hand, but didnt' get them due to payment issue. (I think they just wanted to go home and didn't want to deal with it) That was Friday and now it's Tuesday and they STILL will not honor my insurance. I can't see well, I need my contact lens. THIS IS CRAZY and UNPROFESSIONAL. I am currently on hold with them for the past 12 minutes!! I will be filing a formal complaint. They are back on the line still insisting I am not eligible so once again I have to call insurance company, And they are RUDE about this!! STAY FAR AWAY!
