We welcome you to compare our products quality installation, service and prices to all others. Here is a brief spotlight of our history: Slocomb Industries, Inc is a recognized pioneer and one of the nation's leading manufacturers of vinyl window products. The Newark- based company designs and manufacturers vinyl windows for homes, apartments, and many types of commercial buildings. It is one of the most successful small businesses in Delaware. As a company, Slocomb was established in 1955 by Leon Slocomb, Jr. to sell and install storm windows and doors. Within five years he became a manufacturer, one of the first in the country, to make vinyl products. Vinyl windows rapidly became popular for their ease of cleaning, maintenance, durability, and superior insulating qualities. By 1967 there was renewed interest in the rehabilitation of older homes, which was spurred by the high cost of new homes and rising interest rates. In response to this trend, Slocomb began manufacturing replacement windows. Then, in 1974, again in response to shifts in the market, (the emphasis on energy conservation), Slocomb entered the insulated glass business. Due to limited manufacturing space and rapid growth of insulated windows, the firm stopped production of its vinyl storm windows and doors in 1975. Meanwhile, Slocomb had been studying new designs for a window that would have consumer appeal, yet would be easy and inexpensive to fabricate. The effort paid off, and a major turning point took place in 1979, when Slocomb formed Acro Extrusion Corporation to produce vinyl frames for windows. The move into the vinyl extrusion field catapulted the firm from regional business to one with major nationwide presence. In 2000, Slocomb partnered with South Wall Technologies to manufacturer Heat Mirror Glass. This new insulated glass system is widely known as the most insulated product on the market today. Popular mechanics has awarded Heat Mirror Glass and the producer South Wall Technologies the distinction of being one of the top 100 inventions in the last 1, 000 years. The federal government in conjunction with the AWDI has now increased its energy rebate for Heat Mirror Glass windows from $200 to $500 which is the maximum rebate available for windows and insulation. In 2002, Slocomb looked to add to their manufacturing capabilities and acquired Newtown a Wilkes-Barre, PA Acro window manufacturer. There by forming Newtown-Slocomb. Through this acquisition the company moved into one of the top producers for vinyl windows in the US market. In 2004, Newtown-Slocomb became part of the EarthWise window producers group. This was done in an effort to create a buying group with over 100 million in sales volume per year and major purchasing power to bring the best product and pricing to consumers in the United States. The EarthWise group in 2005 took its products, quality manufacturing techniques, and unprecedented warranties and compared them to all other products in the marketplace, this comparison was done by the Good Housekeeping Institute and when all was said and done the EarthWise group and the products were awarded t

I had install america install 20+ windows. These guy were a complete mess. I had ladders, extensions cords, paint chips, caulk tubes and window packaging left all over my yard. I had to call the owners son to get the stuff cleaned up. The mess they left in my house with paint chips was even worse. Their contractors did not follow one BIT of the Pennsylvania LED abatement standards. I would not recommend these guys. Their Windows are ok, price was average, but employees a mess. They also did another job for a relative and the roof was not to code and did not pass borough inspection. It had to be reproofed. Go somewhere else. I had 3 roofs installed this year by another contractor and Install America left a bigger mess than the roofing contractor.

VERY disappointed. Great sales pitch without the follow through. We had one totally rotten window sill that they said they would replace. An 1 more that should have been replaced. They covered it up and only after 3 weeks of complaining did they come and replace the wood. At no point did anyone apologize for taking this short cut. I asked them to wait for me to inspect the windows before charging my credit card and they went ahead and charged without my approval. My roof WILL NOT be done by them.

Good customer service up front. Horrible warranty and customer service if there is a problem.

Do not recommend them at all.

I sadly went with Install America, for a new roof and related repairs after a hail storm. This was the worst decision we've made with our home.

The work was performed in multiple stages, stretching out over a long period of time. NOT BY OUR DOING. They were very rude, and demanding when it came to money down. Ended up, all they did was hire OTHER companies to do the work- to the lowest bidder I think. Our "roofers" spoke NO ENGLISH, and left LOTS of trash around (including some tools on our roof after the job was done- now added to our home inventory). First rain AFTER the repairs were signed off by them, the roof leaked. I REFUSED to pay the balance until it was corrected, and the company hid behind "technical sounding terms" that were incorrect, and made promises to fix the problems, then contacted my home owners insurance for the final payment.

The work STILL hasn't been fixed. The FEW problems they DID come repair, they did in a quick, not up to standards way, and caused yet MORE problems. Lots of shortcuts, not quality work. They should stick to windows and doors, and NOT use them for roof, gutter and siding. I would call them "local storm chasers".

i wish I could rate them -5 stars.

So happy!

My husband and I decided to contract Install America to replace our 20 year old roof. We may have been able to get another year or two out of it, but we didn't want to worry about harsh Berks County winters anymore. The gentleman who stopped by to give us information was very pleasant and took his time explaining to us exactly what they were going to do on our roof. We felt comfortable moving forward with them because of the quality of the product and their great reputation in our neighborhood. The installers were on time, tidy, and were finished in one day! Their work is beautiful, and we love it! The new roof with a lifetime warranty gives us great peace of mind. We will definitely be considering them for future projects.

They did 5 windows for my parents. The workers were on time and finished before lunch. Their work is impeccable, and my mom loves the windows, especially the one above the sink. They are doing a roof next and are definitely considering doing business with them again.
