Hi,
We were at a oldies benefit at the Monroeville Convention Center on Sunday Jan. 16. The food line there was out of site so we decided to go next door to TGIF Fridays for a quick meal. We were waited on and ordered our mixed drinks and meal. The drinks were great and close to the same price we had been paying for a twelve once draft next door! There were a lot customers there. We realized from the cheering in the backround, many had come to watch the playoff game with the Jets vs Patriots,
After our drinks one salad was brought to our table. Two other friends had come with us so we had four at our table. You guessed it thirty minuets later nothing! Then our waitress came and apologized for the slow service. She said it was due to the fact that the large groups had already ordered first and the customer volume of the evening was extraordinarily high. We then explained we were watching the oldies benefits next door and were missing a lot of the show. Could she help? She said she would see what she could do.
About fifteen minuets later She returned and said she had talked to the manager, who also apologized for the problem, and would be right out to talk to us. Ten minuets or so later, Randy Anselimino came and squatted down at our table. He had a very nice smile on his face asked what he could do for us. I explained we were missing the show next door. I Said we were paying good money to enjoy a meal there and it was an unreasonable wait. He said it was unreasonable!, and we would not be paying! He assured us that if we could wait just a few minuets longer our food meals would be served. He explained the main grill had shut down, and that it was working now. He was very concerned and polite. We accepted his offer just as he was called back to the kitchen for another problem. I wouldn't want his job! He excused himself as our meals started to arrive. When we finished our great meals I asked for our check, We were told there would be none and thanks for coming! We gave a nice tip to our waitress and hurried next door for the show. I didn't get another opportunity to thank Randy, but I hope this helps. Great job under the circumstances!
Thanks
