My whole family has been going to Ferguson Dental for over 20 years—we never even bothered with a pediatric dentist! (The kids, now in their 20s, are still cavity-free; might have been the sealants they got here.) While nobody actually enjoys going to the dentist, the entire staff here makes it a good and pain-free experience when it has to happen! Highly recommend for routine cleanings as well as more involved issues, such as implants and crowns.

Dr. Cocchia completed her post graduate Dental General Practice residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. During her residency, she acquired advanced training in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, implants, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, and anxiety control.

In 2018, Dr. Cocchia completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Rutgers University’s School of Dental Medicine. Recognized by the Dental School faculty for her advanced clinical skills, Dr. Cocchia was selected to be a clinical tutor for students in Operative Dentistry, Fixed Prosthodontics, Complete Dentures and Dental Anatomy Labs.

My family has been coming here for years and always have the BEST experience. The hygienist Geri is incredibly professional and always educates us whenever a question comes up during our cleanings. I had major oral surgery done when I was a child and to this day I’m triggered by having any dental procedure. More recently I had extensive dental work done and Dr. Rachael was so empathic and genuinely cared. It was like hanging out with a friend each time plus getting top notch dental care! I strongly encourage anyone whether you have a traumatic dental past or not to run towards this practice!

Currently on the dental staff of Mountainside Hospital, Dr. David Ferguson is active in professional study groups such as Western Essex Dental Association where he has served as president. He also participates in regular professional development courses and is a current member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. David Ferguson lives in Montclair, NJ with his wife Kelly and their three children.
