The person who left a bad review about Bob's Affordable Painting is someone using this contractor to advertise himself in all of his own glory because he can.
I doubt him before I would doubt a person that has the knowledge that Bobs Affordable Painting has since 1991 and is still in business to this day despite someone who rants and describes in such detail someone else's faults .

We trusted Bob with our hard earned money to paint the interior of home. Most of the painting was average, but we noticed significant problems with one of our feature walls in the living room. When we began to ask questions concerning these issues Bob became aggressive and irate. He reacted as if we attacked him personally and discredited his work, all we did was ask a question.

He blamed the bad wall repairs and painting on the "construction of the walls". Ironically, the walls looked good BEFORE Bob painted them, now my family is stuck with walls that have major tape and spackle defects. He told us "the paint needs to cure for a day or two, everything will match and work itself out".... After the paint dried and cured the problems were even more pronounced. When I asked Bob to come back onsite to take a look at these issues he stated "it is going to cost you extra money for me to come back onsite". At that point I realized the type of business and individual I was dealing with, he wouldn't even come back to discuss the possibilities of fixing what he damaged without more money.

Interesting FACTS about Bob and cell phones (items in chronological order):

1. When I sent him pictures of the problems via a text message he never responded.
2. When I called him the next day he stated "my phone has a hard time receiving MMS messages".
3. When I sent him a text message stating that other people I knew needed painters he replied instantly

Can you see a pattern here?

Typically I don't write bad reviews, I usually work out any problems or concerns with the service provider. Unfortunately with Bob Affordable Painting I CAN NOT RECOMMEND OR ENDORSE this company. Robert Szell is the owner and left us with problems that still need to be fixed and re-painted in our home.
