I'd stopped in several times to speak with the owner about having my lamp powder coated, and we were given a firm quote for $75.00. After completely disassembling it into its numerous parts--at the owners request--suddenly he started talking about his hourly rate for sandblasting, running out of a stock color and having to order more--and the price going up to an undetermined amount. He was supposed to call me and give me another quote including the re-order of his "stock" color, and I didn't hear back from him. He seemed like a good guy at first, so I'm not sure why the sudden change. If you use this company's services, get your quote in writing.
