Taylor's Do It Center

Every time I go in some asks if I need help and they always answer my questions. Better than the big box stores. Selection is somewhat limited but they have had everything I have needed so far.

AWESOME! I have always been asked, if I needed help or had any questions. Always greeted by the cashier and floor sales person, as soon as I walk in the door. After 5-10 minutes of shopping/browsing, I am asked again if I need help with anything. Everyone is always friendly and VERY helpful! If I do have a question, after awhile in the store, a sales associate is always availible. If they are busy, I never wait more than a few minutes. They always come find me. A local store that is close. Yes, maybe the prices are a bit higher than "HD" or "L", but once you pay for the gas to drive round trip to Chesapeake, VA or Elizabeth City, NC, it actually costs the same or less! I know! I figured out the cost! A small town hardware store is what Taylor's of Moyock,NC is and always will be! It's nice to walk in and be remembered. You won't get that from the larger chains! Having 11+ acres, you always need something quick without the hassle of a long drive! A BIG THANK YOU to ALL the employees!! Ya'll keep up the good work!

To whom it may concern:



I made a purchase from your Moyock, NC store on November 29, 2008 at 11:29 am. I purchased 2 pieces of poplar board and a 4'x4' x 3/4" board. Today, I returned one poplar board and I tried to return the 4' x 4' board having not used either item. I was told, rather accused by "Mary", the manager on duty today (2:48 pm) that she was not accepting the 4x4 board as there was writing on it. The board was purchased, put in my truck, and never moved until my attempt to return the merchandise.



Despite my explanation of the circumstance, and a detailed description of who assisted me (Bryan) with the 4x4 board, but "Mary" refused to resolve the matter to which she was accusing me and went so far as the threaten to call the police on me if I did not leave her store. This was the final straw.



I left the board with "Mary" telling her I was not going to carry it back out in the rain and be accused of further marring your merchandise. She refused to give me any affidavit of leaving the merchandise in the store.



Here is my demand. Full refund of the $10.69 plus tax charged against my account. I have notified my credit card company of this matter, and the transaction will be held until I have received a satisfactory resolution. Lastly, I want a written apology from "Mary" for her blatant disrespect of me, the consumer.



I expect immediate response to this matter.
