All Weather Screen Repair

I have never left a review for the BBB but this is a must! I have NEVER in my 65 years dealt with such a scam artist and a liar. He promised to have my screens fully replaced over my pool in a week and he brought an old trailer over and parked it on my grass and left it there for a month while he said he was working on the job. But every time I called him he was "out of the country and would be back in a week. He had some young guy that was SLOWLY working on my job by himself and he left food everywhere and the pool was incredibly full of everything including nails and tons of trash. He assured me that he had all the proper licensing and insurance and was bonded but that was a lie. I soon realized he was doing nothing and the other guy was doing it all by himself. Every night I came home to a total mess. After it was finally almost finished I saw the other guy crawling on top of the frame 25 feet up in the air and he had no safety nets or safety equipment so if he fell I'm sure I would have gotten sued. I was horrified and told him how ridiculous it was and what a total fiasco it had been and had taken 6 weeks to complete. I paid him $4500 and now he thinks I owe him. more so he has put a lien on my house!! . I never even met the guy before the work started and we never had anything in writing and my one week job became a 6 week total fiasco. BEWARE!!

Too bad I have to even give it one star. This company should not even be in business and the owner should be locked away from society. It is obvious the ONE positive review on here was written by a buddy and not any specific experience.



Do they think we are dumb?? Two words of advice: STAY AWAY

All Weather Screen Repair did a good job. They are competitive in pricing and we highly recommend them for all your screening needs.

This vendor doesn’t take a NO for an answer! I couldn’t agree more with the previous reviews. They are on point with true statements.



Background:

1. I obtained three bids to repair my screen enclosures. The bids were all in the same price range.

2. Vendor (All Weather Screen) presented me with a proposal with his company logo and the statement that he is LICENSED and insured.

3. Upon validating his company name and his dba Josh Woodruff at https://www.myfloridalicense.com/wl11.asp?mode=2&search=Name&SID=&brd=&typ= , I found out his license # SCC131149603 was revoked in 2006 (6 years later and still says he is licensed)

4. I called his certificate of liability insurance (Hanna at 239-466-8600), she confirmed the guy doesn’t have workers comp and none of his crew is insured, except him for $5000 assigned to med expense. What a joke!

5. I cancelled the work with All Weather Screen and stopped communication.

6. On Thursday, August 16th, 2012 at 10:00 am, two boys about 28 years shows up with 10 footers ladder stating they are here to start the work.

7. I told them, the work has been cancelled and that I called their boss. They stated the boss is not reachable. They were so pushy and wanting to start the work. I said NO! One of the crew stated that he has 15 years of experience. My mind was racing to do the Math. This means he started working at 13 years old! This lie was added to my list of disappointment from All weather Screen. The crew left.

8. On the same day, August 16th at 1:00 PM. A delivery truck with two 40 footers super gutters was in front of house. He stated he is delivering the material. I TOLD him I didn’t approve or sign anything and that I called Josh to ensure that I have NO BUSINESS with him.

9. The driver was respectful, but frustrated and he left.



I thought I put this worse thing behind me. On Friday, August 17th, I went to work. I arrived home late and did not notice anything. On Saturday, when I opened the family sliding door to go outside to the Patio. My heart dropped on the floor. The material that the driver took back on Thursday was on my yard. The screen enclosure all damaged, Wood support Beams in place. He started the work without my authorization. I called the Police. The crook will be charged for B&E.



He doesn’t want to take NO for an answer. He forced himself to my house to do the work without my authorization STAY AWAY! I feel violated!

I recommended AWSR to a friend and am completely mortified as a result! The owner of the company did shotty work at repairing her screen enclosure. When it rained, her original problem was still very much present (leaks in between the cracks where her roof ended and screen began). She tried to contact him to repair, he never answered her calls or emails. She has no recourse, because he does not have his license. I am totally embarrassed I ever suggested she hire this company. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE!



He can be belligerent and he is unable to secure a Florida construction license due to past indiscretions. .

Hired them to do some repair work. Turns out that they don't have workers compensation coverage nor an exemption form. This is bad. If they were to get hurt on your property, they could sue you. When confronted, he got extremely beligerent. DON"T HIRE!!!!
