Salvaged materials can be retained on site for reuse (one of our favorites); cabinetry and fixtures are donated to our friends at The Rebuilding Center or Habitat for Humanity; lumber, sheathing and select items are saved and transported to our new Lovett Salvage Shop for resale.
Flooring
Our warehouse stocks a wide variety of reclaimed lumber—from mid-grade to standard, rough cut to special dimension stock, shiplap to T&G, plus flooring and other finds.

Framing
With almost 20 years in the business, Lovett Deconstruction is Portland’s premier deconstruction company with more experience than any other company in the industry. A recent addition to our business, the Carpentry team works on some of our projects after our Deconstruction team has completed their scope of work. Whether it's framing, siding install or finish carpentry, our carpenters are available to assist General Contractors with the carpentry scope. Everyday we work to wow customers with our knowledge, awareness, efficiency, communication, and safety standards.
Demolition is the process of using heavy machinery to 'crunch' a house into debris in what is often the quickest and least expensive method for building removal. Deconstruction is the primarily manual and systematic dismantling of a house or component of a house, reversing the steps of construction and allowing harvest and recovery of many materials which can be diverted for reuse or recycling. On smaller scale remodels, the craft of deconstruction allows us to use more finesse in the removal of materials rather than a “sledgehammer'“ approach.
We first protect plants and landscaping, to ensure that fallen paint chips and debris don't contaminate the environment. If lead paint is present, we’ll place additional ground protection and build plastic walls if needed.
Walkways
At project completion we remove protective sheeting and ensure that the entire job site, including walkways and landscaping are immaculate.
Exterior deconstruction involves the careful disassembly of decks, porches and siding. Our crews strive to be attentive to the community by extending every courtesy to neighbors, and taking thorough precautionary measures with hazardous materials.
Siding
We wrap lead painted material in plastic, then dispose of it in a drop box or dump trailer. We hand remove exterior siding and other structures, be it a deck, porch or garage, then salvage all the reusable materials and recycle the debris.
Porches
Residential Roof Repair
We recycle brick and metal, as well as wood, tile, and roofing from select projects. We are exploring options to recycle wallboard. Unfortunately, the nature of many construction materials and the logistics of many projects prevents us from recycling more from our job sites.
We’re looking for a Carpentry Project Manager to join our growing team in Portland, Oregon. We are headquartered in NW Portland and this job serves residential homes throughout Portland and its suburbs. This position is in-office and full-time.
