AXT designs, develops, manufactures and distributes high-performance compound semiconductor substrates. The company s customers use its products to fabricate integrated circuits for electronic systems that operate the latest lighting displays and fiber-optic and wireless communications applications. Its proprietary VGF crystal growth process technology produces substrates with competitive sustainable advantages, including low etch pit density. AXT s primary product line consists of gallium arsenide substrates in two- to six-inch diameters. The company also offers a selection of indium phosphide substrates. It maintains a 190,000-square-foot production facility in Tongmei, China. AXT is headquartered in Fremont, Calif.
