Thai Yoga Therapy is a blend of yoga & bodywork that began in Thailand 2,000 years ago. Sessions are carried out on a cushioned mat, with the client in comfortable clothing. Practitioners use their palms, elbows, knees, & feet to create a sequence of rhythmic pressure, assisted stretching, joint movement, & relaxation techniques. The body is moved & compressed to relieve tension, to create a balanced & peaceful inner state. The goal is to open the body up, while respecting its limits.
