Greg Pilotti furniture makers creates live edge conference tables, authentic reproductions, custom furniture, beautiful antique American-inspired furniture, and many types of cabinetry. We use traditional joinery techniques such as hand cut dovetails, mortise and tenon joints, and drawbore tenons for strength, just as craftsmen did over 300 years ago. We focus on using period correct materials and hardware, including many species of local high quality woods. We build furniture on par with those pieces that have stood the test of time as well as exceeding the quality expected by our clients. We work closely with each client to bring their ideas to life, create exacting replicas, or modify a piece to meet a modern need. Founder, Greg Pilotti, is professionally trained and apprenticed in furniture making. When commissioning a custom piece of furniture, initial conversations will focus on the styles and interests of the customer, a visit to the shop or showroom (if requested), and a visit to the customers location, if needed. We will decide on the style of the piece, discuss any custom aspects, and begin with quick sketches or 3D models necessary to come up with a working idea as well as the price quote. processAfter this initial design consultation, a deposit on the piece will be collected prior to moving forward. Once accepted, Greg Pilotti Furniture Makers will finalize the design and begin with shop drawings, full scale drawings, color samples, and finish samples, all the while documenting the process. Once all aspects of the build have been approved, the piece will be precisely built. Communication with the client is open at all times. Upon completion of the build, the final payment of the piece will be collected and the furniture shipped or delivered to the client.
