Updating an outdated condo kitchen, the live-edge shelving and hand scraped rustic flooring add an earthy feel. A large format tile backsplash wall becomes another organic texture. Warm and cool tones contrast nicely in the muted palette.

This classic Master Suite addition and remodel in Burlington VT area included a reading area with cathedral ceiling and walls of glass, a direct-vent gas burning fireplace with tile surround and raised stone hearth; and a master bath with walk-in shower and jetted tub.

The same can be said for Ned and his crew, and I have done all of these types of work for Ned. I can honestly say that in comparison to most contractors Ned shines by going way beyond the "usual" with the level of detail and coordination with his subcontractors and clients. Little things like the project manual that stays on the jobsite with all of the product information so I can easily tell not just what it is and where it goes, but where and how to provide the electrical connection to it. I also like the way he seals off the work area from the rest of the home during remodels to limit the amount of dust and debris into the living space. We've been lucky to have worked with Erica and Ned on two major renovation projects, as well as other smaller jobs to keep our home contemporary; comfortable; attractive; functional; and our source of pride. We've lived in our home for 30+ years, and feel we'll enjoy another 30 with the improvements they've accomplished. Complete kitchen, sunroom, basement, and deck makeovers, from conceptual ideas (impressively adjusted to meet budget and functional requirements) through completion, have confirmed our trust and friendship with this delightful, dedicated, and skillful couple and their company. No more work necessary for now, but when we have a new need or idea, we'll undoubtedly work with Haven Design + Building, again!
