While in high school, Dr. Russo’s orthodontist discovered a wisdom tooth cyst that required the surgery and placement of two dental implants, which were still a newer technology in the 1980s. This firsthand experience led him to become interested in dentistry, and he ended up shadowing some local dentists, physicians, and even a hospital during high school and college. One of the dentists he job-shadowed was Dr. William Hutchinson, who was the founder of this dental office. After finishing his dental training, Dr. Russo returned to his hometown to work under Dr. Hutchinson’s mentorship and create a partnership with him for several years until his retirement. Today, he couldn’t imagine having any other job!
