        Savage and Son, Inc. is Nevadas oldest and strongest full-service plumbing, HVAC, and piping contractor; serving both residential and commercial clients alike. We care about each of our clients, from a modest home repair to a remodel to a commercial high-rise. We have proudly served the northern Nevada and surrounding California communities since 1893.

        Savage and Son is Nevadas oldest contracting company, operating in our community since 1893. For 6 generations, the Savage family has owned and operated the company, and grown it to become the premier northern Nevada plumbing, HVAC and piping establishment. The company grew rapidly along with the growth of the Biggest Little City. In 1941, then owner, Leonard Charles (Frank Charles son) moved the storefront location to South Virginia Street (just south of California Ave. where Michaels Deli currently does business). The family thought that that Leonard was crazy for moving so far outside of Reno. Of course, Reno has far expanded its city limits past the 1941 location. A member of the Savage family has been running the company every single day since its creation more than 130 years ago. Savage and Son plans to continue to be a very present and contributing member of our community for generations to come.

        I want to praise the Parts dep...

        I want to praise the Parts department at Savage and Son Plumbing. I called with a toilet issue on a toilet that I purchased from them a number of years ago. Paul, in service took my call and was very patient and helpful as we diagnosed and fixed, temporarily anyway, the problem.

        I thought to myself that had I purchased this toilet from a box store, I'd be completely lost, as those places really don't add service to the sale. I can recommend their service in my case.

        Great service, great people.

        I had my water supply line to my house burst last spring, water gushing up over the sidewalk. Instead of just doing a bandaid patch or fixing only what could be replaced, Bob gave me the alternatives - to replace the old cast iron pipes under the house, subject to future corrosion and leaking.



        I'm writing this now, because I'm praising Savage and Bob for doing a great job and relocating the sprinkler shutoff valves to my front yard (I didn't have to suit up and crawl under the house!).



        In my experience, they do the right job, do it well, and never "play games" - always straightforward and honest. I guess that's how they've stayed in business so long.
