Removal of Impact Wisdom

General Info
Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that most people get in their late teens or early twenties. Sometimes these teeth can be a valuable asset to the mouth when healthy and properly aligned, but more often, they are misaligned and require removal. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a regional specialist surgeon treating the entire craniomaxillofacial complex: anatomical area of the mouth, jaws, face, skull, as well as associated structures. What are "impacted wisdom teeth?" In dental terminology an "impacted" tooth refers to a tooth that has failed to emerge fully into its expected position. This failure to erupt properly might occur because there is not enough room in the person's jaw to accommodate the tooth, or because the angulation of the tooth is improper. Dental implants are artificial tooth replacements that are used to counter tooth loss. The procedure is categorized as a form of prosthetic (artificial replacement) dentistry, though it also falls into the category of cosmetic dentistry as well. Biopsy (in Greek: Ɵ??? life and??? look/appearance) is a medical test involving the removal of cells or tissues for examination. It is the removal of tissue from a living subject to determine the presence or extent of a disease. The term "jaw fracture" usually refers to fracture of the lower jaw (mandible). A fractured jaw causes pain and usually changes the way the teeth fit together.

When i called to schedule the appmt. The man who answered was very helpful and knowledgable. The two women at the front desk contacted my insurance company without me asking to see if they would cover part of the cost. Sharon and her assistant were very nice quick and thorough.

This afternoon I needed and emergency extraction, I was in horrible pain and I found this doctors number in my Ins Book. Thank god, I did. Her staff was kind enough to fit me in and within an hour, the tooth was out. She was sweet and the office staff was very nice. I recommend her anytime. She also accept my insurance so that was another plus. Thanks Again
