United Way of Greater New Haven is a community-based organization that provides various health and social services. It offers the Support for Benefits Check Up, a program that trains senior volunteers to assist other seniors in using Web-based tools to access state and federal entitlement programs. The organization additionally offers case management and outreach services for older adults. United Way of Greater New Haven provides meals and staples weekly for people living with HIV/AIDS and their families, as well as nutritional counseling services and emergency food assistance.
