Took my 1970 4HP Johnson Outboard. After looking around locally many places suggested I take my unique problem to Dan at SW Marine. I was meant with friendly customer service when I arrived to drop off my outboard. I was pleased to receive my outboard back with quality work and no issues. Highly recommend this repair shop to others.

Brought my '04 Tracker with a Mercury four-stroke outboard for troubleshooting and he found out the carburetors needed rebuilding. He performed the rebuilds himself, got the boat back and the motor has never run so well since I purchased it new. Highly recommended.

I had my 25 HP Merc outboard repaired last November here and the first time I took it out I broke down with the same exact problem, when I called about this I was told that it was too long ago and he didn't know what I a had done with the motor over the winter. Then he said that I didn't winterize it properly. I explained that I took it from his location and put it in heated storage he told me he did not care, it ids not his problem. I took it to Chicago Yacht Yard and they discovered the electronic module was loose and needed tightening. Bottom line is I paid Southwest 285 to rebuild the carb that really didn't need to be done and paid Chicago Yacht Yard 185 to fix it after I got stuck on Lake Michigan first time out. Live and learn. Stay away from this guy.
