McGlynns Pub & Restaurant - Peoples Plaza

Looking for Pub Fare with a great neighborhood feel? This is it! This is the original McGlynn's & it has been around for 20+ years, but the location has been a neighborhood bar since I was a a child in Drummond Hill in the early 70s. During snowstorms they stay open because everyone will walk to McGlynn's just to get out for a chat. The food is better than any other "pub" environment. Their french onion soup is top-notch. Looking for a good round of bar trivia or a great sports game... they've got it on! Looking to make new friends.... McGlynn's crowd will welcome you, they are one of the only places around where you can actually feel comfortable walking in alone. (you won't leave without making a few friends, the staff & the regulars ((local teachers many)) will see to that) Go to the bar in the center of the room or get a cozy booth or table along the sides or by the fireplace in the side room to the right. There is even a banquet room in the back for private parties. Nightly specials abound. Popcorn at the entrance. Friendly staff year after year..... how many places can boast that? My personal favorites are the cheese tray, hummus, or the turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun..... yum! They even have a frequent diners club that makes it very easy to rack up points for meal credits. This is a place you can take your kids for a late dinner or take your friends for a drink at the same hour & not have a conflict with either...it all works and co-exists harmoniously. Where else can you find that in Delaware?
