        Overall

        First of all I would like to point out that it is my fault that I dropped my hard drive and I have fully made peace with the fact that Disk Doctors couldn't recover my data. That's not what I have a problem with, it's their customer service.



        I was willing to drop $1600 to get the data recovered off my hard drive. I assumed that I would receive good customer service as I was referred to this company by a friend of a friend. That was not the case.



        I mailed my Western Digital hard drive in to Disk Doctors in early July. The process was estimated to take around 10-14 days plus or minus a few if a part was needed. At times I was told it was partially recovered and would be fully recovered by the following Monday. When I was finally told that my data was unrecoverable I asked for them to mail my hard drive back. This was three to four weeks ago and I still do not have my hard drive. Every time I call they say they'll mail it that day and never follow through. I'm worried that they're going to claim it was "unclaimed" and just never mail it back. Even though I've claimed it multiple times.



        If they had been able to recover the data that I lost (portfolio for school, etc) I might have forgiven some of the customer service. But after an ongoing two month process I am sick of it. It is ridiculous. Personally, I will never do business with them again and wanted to inform others that if they are seeking data recovery services the headache they are in for.
