The store was all but empty, yet I couldn't get any help. The two people behind the counter at the glasses case just looked at me and walked off. I asked for help in the shoes and you would think I'd asked the guy for his first born! In the end he stood next to his ladder and watched me go through the boxes, which by the way had the wrong shoes in the wrong boxes! Academy in CC, TX would never do something like this. We left without buying anything because of the lack of customer service. I will purchase what I want when we get to Tulsa.

I bought an item that was defective and returned it literally within 2 hours of purchase and showed them the problem. They called the store manager who then proceeded to tell me that even though it was purchased new in this condition, Academy would not stand behind it and that I would have to pay to ship it back to the manufacturer. I asked him if he realized how bad his customer service was and how it reflected on Academy and he just shrugged. I then called and spoke with Jason at the S. OKC branch and he had absolutely no problem with returning the item and letting me get a different one.

We bought a patio set over Memorial Day weekend. We ended up at a hardware store after and found a similar set but it included an umbrella stand. We returned to the Norman, OK store to see if they could match the item. The manager on duty took forever to come out when called. We explained what we had found at the other store and were told that it doesn't include the stand and he can't do anything. Then he turned around and walked away! No solution or anything, just return it if your not happy. We contacted customer service and got the same response. I would not recommend this store as they will not offer solutions to your problems and are happier to lose customers then solve issues.
