Carrabba's Italian Grill

On my second experience with Carrabas in Richmond Virginia on Midlothian tpke, I am having an unsatisfactory experience. The last visit being in 2006. We chose this location for our office party this year due to the location and reputation for service.  Last week, I called and was told that while there are no reservations, as long as I call ahead 30 min in advance and for seating after 8, there would be no problem.  I called an hour in advance for 25 people.  Still no problem, the seats would be ready.  When we arrived, we were told maybe a thirty minute wait which turned into an hour and a half.   Half of the office party is from out of Tom.  When asking the proprietor, Donnell Meekins, whom I spoke with before coming what the problem was.  He responded with another party came and you didn't have a reservation.  After being reassured three times before coming that we would seated at 8, I asked mr Meekins for the regional office, I was told repeatedly by him to go online and find it.  After voicing myself over and over in front of patron, he finally gave it to me.   We would have clearly chosen a place that would have seated us and seated together in a timely fashion.   I will follow up as I do not care to spend my money in an establishment that does not hold true to their word.
