Equinox

I feel like I was extremely taken advantage of at this salon. I asked for a single process color and showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted. After it was done I was surprised to find out I was paying almost double what I originally thought I was supposed to pay. They told me to do the look I wanted I needed a double process and that is why they charged me double. I feel like this is something that should have been addressed before doing my hair. Any other salon I have been to has told me before if they needed to do anything extra and how much it would charge. After leaving I called the salon the next day to figure out why it was so much (because I wasn't given a receipt so I couldn't look at it) and talked to the receptionist. She told me she thought that it was extremely pricy and that she would have the owner call me. I talked to Dave, the owner, and have never had a business owner be so condescending and rude when I tried to explain how I didn't know why I was charged so much and that is wasn't clear. I will NOT be back at this salon and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Shame on you!

I am very particular about my hair. My hair is thick and really wants to get "big" and frizzy. Also, I have quite a bit of stubborn gray. Some haircolor products either wash out or make my hair extremely dry. Added to that is the fact that I do want a color/cut that is in style, without being overly trendy and one that I can maintain at home.



I had visited a series of salons, some of which had disasterous results. A friend recommended Equinox and I am totally and completely satisfied. The staff is friendly, appointments are always on time and my stylist, Mary, is an absolute joy to visit. I just tell her my preferences and then trust her implictly to go with any suggestions she might have. She hasn't steered me wrong yet and I have never had an appointment where I didn't walk out feeling good! From what I've seen, all the stylists actually care about their clients and give them personalized attention. I consider myself "hair-impaired" and I've received some great tips on products and how to use them at home.



Being right of I-480 and Stears Road, the location is convenient.
