I felt I had to review this because it was hyped up from the very beginning when they barely started building Chick-Fil-A. My mother and I wanted to go out for lunch today so we decided, let's try Chick-Fil-A. We heard so many good things about it, our relatives and friends all claimed it was a good place.
Once we got there, the inside was very nice. It's a relaxing atmosphere, clean tables, and is definitely kid friendly. There are about 8 cashiers and the place was packed, but the service was fast, really fast (as expected in a fast food restaurant).
The Food:
My mother ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich meal which she did not particularly like. There wasn't a lot of chicken in the sandwich to begin with and she didn't favor the little pickles they put in it. I ordered the 4-Count Chicken Strips Meal (because I always order chicken strips at fast food restaurants). I didn't particularly like it either. I compared them to Carl's Jr Chicken Strips (also something I do not favor). I much rather prefer the chicken strips from Jack in the Box or even the chicken nuggets from McDonald's (and i don't like McD's very much). Their fries were criss-cut, just like the one's at Carl's Jr, but they didn't taste as good. They desperately needed salt or some sort of dipping for its lack of flavor (btw the Buttermilk Ranch is pretty good). We both felt a bit disappointed and thought, What on earth did our friends and family eat to make them say that this place was so great?
Overall, give it a try, everyone has different tastes, so you may like this. I personally wouldn't go back for the chicken strips, but I would go back and try out their original chicken sandwich, but if the chicken tastes anything like the strips, i can assure you that i won't like it. But I'll have a go at it... eventually.
Here are some pros and cons about Chick-Fil-A
PROS:
-Nice, relaxing environment
-Kid friendly: has play area
-They only have one size for their meals (no super sizing)
-Fast service, lots of cashiers and friendly staff
CONS:
-Chicken strips and Chicken Salad Sandwich weren't that good
-Criss cut fries lack flavor
-Drive Thru line is ridiculously long
-Lots of people (gets packed quickly)
So if you want to try Chick-Fil-A, go ahead.
