Ocean Buffet

This the only place that has my black peper chicken! Loved it always great to go there!!! My favorite restaurant. Nice people and they are so friendly also.

Not good. Between the good reviews and a full parking lot at 2:30 in the afternoon I expected a decent meal. The buffet was nothing special. It had the usual Chinese staples, chicken and broccoli, spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoon, desserts (which are never good in Chinese restaurants anyway), pork, sushi, etc. The food was both hot and cold. I mixed the food before putting it on my plate and yet some bites were hot and some were cold. I looked at the sushi, but I didn't feel confident enough in the establishment to try it. The place was dirty. When I was seated I noticed right away that my table was not cleaned. Not only were there crumbs, but also greasy smears on the table and the booth seats. I asked for the table to be cleaned and they drug a dirty wet cloth over it. When the waiter took the drink order of the people at the next table he was holding a dust pan full of what was just swept off the floor. This was held at eye level and it was rather off putting to say the least. While I went back to the buffet for more crab rangoon (the only thing that was good) I came back to find my plate was gone, but my used fork was left on the table. This is typical for most buffets, especially Chinese, but it still grosses me out. What would it hurt to give customers a clean fork? I looked down at the floor and wished I had not. It was filthy. It looked like it had never been mopped under there. There was a thick layer of crud on the floor that would take some serious scrubbing and strong cleaner to get clean. I decided against getting ice cream. I just wanted to get the heck out of there. My bill came to $10.47 and it was painful to pay because it wasn't even worth it. I normally always leave a tip, but after forking over $10 on a meal/experience I was unhappy with I just couldn't. Last but certainly not least it was hot in there. I couldn't believe how hot it was. When I walked out the door I felt immediately refreshed. The cool air was just what I needed after sitting in that stuffy, heavy, restaurant. Hopefully I don't feel sick later and I'm grateful for the stuff I didn't see.

First visit of more to come...food is great and the green tea ice cream LOVE IT !!!

Food is food, though!

I have never had coconut shrimp like I get there and it is completely amazing. All the food is kept fresh its never old or burnt or dried out looking. The place is very clean and pleasant and the staff always has a smile on their faces. What can I say I love the place and I have and will continue to go back.
