Before you purchase anything from this dealer, there are a few things you should know. Yes, they have comparatively low prices to their competitors for used cars. This is intentionally misleading, however, and comes at a cost to your safety. My wife and I just purchased a used Ford Edge from Courtesy Ford of Okemos, and when we pulled off of the lot, we realized that the car only had about 1/4 tank of gas, which was annoying. It wasn't until we got home that the real frustration set in. I glanced at the tires and noticed that they sold me a car with bald tires! I'm talking no tread (less than 3/32 of an inch). I thought there had to be some kind of misunderstanding. My wife just got off of the phone with their sales manager detailing the issue. He informed us that they are the lowest price around and that means a car comes with 5 gallons of gas and will not replace tires unless they are below 3/32 of an inch (which ours were). Otherwise, they would have to increase their prices. Therefore, he refused to do anything about it. This means that this dealer put my 9 month pregnant wife and my 2 year old daughter at risk of an accident to artificially deflate sticker price! This is not ok! This means we spent over 17K on a vehicle just to drive it straight to a tire shop to spend another 1K on tires. Here's the thing, Courtesy Ford, you aren't the cheapest place around if I have to put 1K into a car as soon as I drive it off the lot. Shame on you. We will not be back, and we will make sure that everyone we talk to knows how you do business. For everyone's convenience, I have attached a picture showing how little tread they had us roll away with, to navigate Michigan roads in winter.
