I called to make an appointment and was told that the person that runs the department would not be back until Thursday. Okay, that happens, but I was then told that they do not make appointments for this person as he is particular about his appointments. I questioned this person, and sensing that I was annoyed, claimed that they were going to ask around to see if anyone else knew his "quirks" I am thinking, who runs the store? Came back and stated that no knew his quirks and would not be making the appointment, because when he is not happy no one is happy. Again, really? Called customer care, who then put me in touch with the store manager. Explained what happened. Was more concerned about making the appointment than going in a proper order which is hey I am sorry about that, let me help you out. Asked me if I got the name of the person I was talking to, stated no, and well that is my fault as she may not be able to track down who it was that I was talking to. Really, how many do you have working there at this time of day, that are male and answer the phones? I explained my concerns of forcing an appointment that may upset this person, and was told he would just have to deal with it. While this is a general statement, it holds true in most cases, anyone knows that when a person is forced, you most likely would not get the service you would expect. Expressed those concerns and was told that (again my fault) I should not base my opinion on the store and how it operates based on this one person. I advised that this 1st impression is the most important and this person represents you and your store. Advised that she may want to have conversations with her associates about the impressions was told half hearted that she would sensing that I was not going to trust my concerns to her or her employees or provide them with a sale. While I doubt if she will, they need to really go back to basic 101 on customer service as they are clearly lacking.
