Fantastic Sams

Awful experience. Completely unfriendly and probably the worst haircut I've ever had. The stylist looked everywhere around her but on the head she was cutting. I don't know how they are still in business.

Negative star rating due to substandard haircut skill, lack of effort and poor customer service attitude. Charge deviated from list on manual.



1. Below standard haircut - At the end of the haircut, I had to blow dry my own hair. The hairdresser told me that it is $20 additional charge for blow dry. How could we evaluate the haircut result when the hair is still wet?



2. Poor attitude - When I pointed out that the haircut was uneven and without the layering that the hairdresser told me he was going to cut, the hairdresser told me: I can give you a really good haircut like the private salon, but I will have to spend 90 minutes and charge you $90. We don't do it at Fantastic Sams. I have already spent 40 minutes with you. Therefore, I will not make any corrections. You can come back within 7 days if you are not happy. Any other hairdresser who may be available can fix it for you.



Immediately after I sat at the chair, the hairdresser spent 20 minutes trying to convince me to have him do a bundle of color, highlight and cut, plus telling me how artistic and skillful he is. I found out that there is no wash basin available meanwhile - only two, the third one is broken.



3. Lack of effort - In truth, he spent less than 10 minutes actually cutting the hair. He further stated: If you know anything about layering, you will not say that I did not layer the hair enough.



I also obeserved that he did not even section my hair with any clips. He just waved the scissor a few times here and there and called it a haircut. Really?



I shudder to think what would have happen if I agreed to the bundle with color and highlight.



Based on the combintion of poor skills, lack of effort plus unacceptable attitudes, I'd rate this particular Fantastic Sams: Keep-out zone. It is a total waste of time and the supposedly 'inexpensive' charge. Save the time and money - go to a good hair dresser in a good salon - even you go less frequently.
