Park Ridge Public Library, founded in 1910, is a public library located in Park Ridge, Ill. It operates through its various departments that include administration, maintenance, technical services, reference, circulation and reader services department. Its children department offers more than 80,000 books, cassettes, compact discs, video cassettes, puzzles and magazines. The department provides online reference products and computers for word processing and learning games. Through its young adult department it offers a wide range of magazines, such as Anime Insider, Cinescape, Cosmo Girl, Current Health, Dragon, Elle, Mad, Teen People, Vogue, Entertainment Weekly and Smackdown Magazine. It also offers services, such as bookletters, audiovisual services, wireless services, outreach special and computer group programming services. Park Ridge Public Library also offers public access computers, piano, heritage room, meeting rooms, study rooms and typewriters.
