Renaissance Gardens-Brooksby

I am disappointed in the care my dad received at Renaissance Gardens-Brooksby Village. After being a patient there for almost two weeks, we found out he was scheduled to have showers every Mon. and Thurs. I had to ask them to shower him each time he needed a shower, and then the staff couldn't even do that! My dad had elastic stockings that had to be put on his legs to prevent blood clots. The leg that had the hip replacement was to have a Medium elastic stocking (leg was a bit swollen) and the other leg a small elastic stocking. He told this to the "aide" about the medium and small stocking, and she still pulled the wrong stocking on his leg, and cut his leg with a ring that she was wearing, even though they are told not to wear large rings, that was about 8:00am - I arrived at 12:20pm and they hadn't cleaned up the blood stain stocking and his cut. I visit almost every day - mostly to make sure my dad is getting the care he needs. I spoke to a supervisor to explain my concerns. I hope patients that don't have any family members to check on them are being treated with the care they need. I also hope the administration are training the aides to help these elderly patients.
