General Info
The AS-WA is focused on helping writers & artists network, consult, become published and be represented by literary agents. The website is a great resource for students, first time writers, published writers, and illustrators. Literature/illustrations will be public to all members. Members will have their own profile pages with their fully expanded biographies, their picture if they wish and any information they wish to disclose. Members will post their literature/illustrations to the home page where other members will be able to review the work, comment, and click Like if they fancy the work. A popularity score will be set in affect for all posts and profile pages. Since the website is still in development we will list some ideas and services for the site. There will be a classifieds page where members can offer their services as in speech writing, article writing, review writing, illustrating etc, and where people looking for these services can offer to hire writers/illustrators as well. There will be a page with a directory of literary agents with their guidelines for submitting literature and their contact information as in their e-mail or mail to addresses for querying these literary agents personally. There will be an international page for members that write in foreign languages. There will be a student center with its own home page where students can post their essays, composition papers, art class work etc. There will be a Comic Zone page where comic book writers and illustrators can have their own separate home page as well. The standard home page will be for all genres as in children's books, westerns, romance, science fiction etc. All posted literature/illustrations will have to be Rated and Classified for example, for ages 17+ Romance. One service that will be added is having the AS-WA edit and submit your work to literary agents professionally for representation and propositions; this service will come later on after development and launch. Contests, and sweepstakes will be held for member literature and illustrations. Members that are already published and have their work on the market in book stores and on the internet will be able to sell their work directly on the website on the shop page. This website will support all levels of writers/illustrators that choose to become active members of the AS-WA website by giving them a chance to network, consult and socialize with other writers/illustrators. Thank you for your patience and god bless from the AS-WA.
