Frankford Animal Clinic

I highly recommend this vet to everyone. My cat and dog have gone here for years and the care as well as the price are unbeatable. Great care, service and the hours are wonderful. It's nice to know your pets are not merely looked at as $$$, but rather are treated with the care and given the time they deserve.

My cat was having problems urinating on and off since 12/15/2016. I took him to another Vet in NE Phila. They gave him an injection of antibiotics plus 2 weeks of pills for a bladder infection, had us collect a urine sample AFTER giving him antibiotics which would alter the results of the urine test. They charged me $270 only for him to have his symptoms return in 1 month so I was faced with the decision to go back to 1st Vet or go to another office. Fortunately, I opted to go to Frankford Animal Clinic.I felt comfortable with them immediately and that only got better by the end of our appointment. It felt like you were among friends as they were warm, caring, thorough, and professional. They explained everything to us and reviewed the urine test results from the other Vet. The other Vet told us that he had crystals in his urine & may need a prescription diet and possibly have his penis removed if he didn't improve. This sounded rather extreme since it was his first time with any problems & he's 9 yrs old.

Fkd Animal Clinic exceeded my expectations and I'd highly recommend them to anyone. Dr. Petlakh gave him an antibiotic injection that'll last 1 month so we didn't need to give him pills 2X/day. They were 1/3 of what the other Vet charged us and his symptoms haven't returned. Within 12 hours of bringing him home, he was drinking, eating and playing. Thankfully, my guy is doing so much better. They will be our go to Vet for any medical care. Keep up the great work.. Kudos!!!

wonderful vet! my dog wa hit by a car and he examend her with no apointment, as we rushed there after leaving the emergensy vet vsac who wanted 2,000$ for care after the upfroubnt cost of 100$ just to be seen. the doc at frankford animal clinic did everything for under 100$!! AMAZING!! he was kind and caring and everything you want in a vet, i will say the locaton and office could be better, as it was small, and outdated, but the doctor made it a one in a million vet,. a dimond in the rough. he was AMAZING!!!!

I've been taking my animals to Doc for years and so have my Parents and Grandparents. He is always pleasant, which is no small task with my 95lb skittish rot/pit mix scrambling to get outta there and, I've always gotten good results.
