The Old Time Watch & Clock Shop provides complete repair and restoration service for both new and vintage timepieces. Our shop is family owned and operated. We began when Jerry Simone opened the Simone Jewelry Store in Netcong, New Jersey in 1947. Jerry quickly became one of the area's premier watch and clock makers and was soon certified as the Official Watch Inspector for the three major New Jersey railroads. Jerry's son John Simone, Sr. learned the trade from his father and became a hobbyist. Upon taking early retirement from his position as an IT manager, John went back to the NAWCC School of Horology to gain certification and undertake his father's trade full time. He began by performing watch and clock repair and restoration from his home studio, but soon outgrew the space. He then opened The Old Time Watch Shop on South Main Street in the historic district of Phillipsburg, New Jersey. At first, the shop concentrated on watch repair only, but as the demand for an experienced clock maker in the area increased, he expanded to include the repair and restoration of clocks as well. The shop was then renamed The Old Time Watch and Clock Shop. The high demand for quality work in the area increased, and again the shop outgrew the three-hundred square foot South Main Street location. In May 2004, the shop was relocated to its current twelve-hundred square foot location on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
