Dr. Young graduated from the Finch University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 1987. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Chicago, in 1988. After completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in 1991, he was recruited to the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. From 1994 through 1997 he served as director of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Consult Inpatient Service. As assistant director of residency training for the Johns Hopkins component of the Sinai-Johns Hopkins Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency, Dr. Young was the elected recipient of the Golden Goniometer Award for excellence in teaching. He is currently an active member of the American Society of Pain and a past president of the Maryland State Society of PM & R.
