Brevard Academy is a public charter school offering educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through eight. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, social studies, science, computer studies, art, and physical education. The school also offers elective classes in music, civics, journalism, astronomy, creative writing, psychology, and philosophical topics. Brevard Academy offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including a band, music classes, visual arts, drama, integrated outdoor and character education, and after school enrichment program. Its after school program offers athletic teams in basketball, soccer, cross-country and cheerleading. The school also offers enrichment classes in ceramics, chorus, drumline, local history, stage productions, yearbook, quiz bowl, mathcounts, and weekend walkabout-outdoor adventure. It is located in Brevard, N.C.
