Kop-Coat manufactures coatings and sealants that protect wood products against mold, mildew, insects, decay, and water damage. Its products are used to treat green lumber logs, kiln dried lumber, millwork wood, panels and engineered wood. The company is a subsidiary of RPM International, located in Medina, Ohio. RPM manufactures roofing systems, sealants, corrosion control coatings, flooring coatings and specialty chemicals. Kop-Coat is headquartered in Pittsburgh and operates branch offices in St. Louis, Rockaway, N.J., Commerce, Calif., and New Zealand. It was founded in 1907 and joined the RPM family of specialty coating companies in 1990. Kop-Coat is ISO 9001:2000 certified according to industry standards.
