        Regional Industrial Development Corporation, doing business as RIDC, was established to foster new employment opportunities and to diversify the regional economy of southwestern Pennsylvania. Founded in 1955, RIDC is a nonprofit organization that serves through a network of economic development and government agencies. The organization s staff and engineers provide overview and supervision services for infrastructure construction, including road and utility design and placement. It also offers financing assistance for infrastructure and building construction and environmental remediation and assessment. Additionally, the organization is certified by the Department of Commerce as a licensed grantor of Foreign Trade Zone 33 grants. RIDC is located in Pittsburgh.
