Bad Bad Bad

This place is not worth the time or your money, the food is horrible and the service is no better.

I have been in the buisness out of state and I know what is what. Let me tell you that everytime (4) I have gone into Ironwood I have left disapointed.

The thin pizza is soggy the "pan" pizza is like a brick and flavorless. The burgers are over cooked & taste like they are brought in cooked already. This is the worste food in Plymouth by far.

I recently found out that their chef is not a chef at all but a pastry teacher, NOT EVEN A REAL CHEF. WELL THAT EXPLAINS A WHOLE LOT.

If I owned this joint I would be mad as hell. I hope they read these because I doesn't seem like any one is giving them the true feedback of thier product.

Get a Chef, Get a menu and agive us something that we can be proud of, instead of processed garbage and crapy food that has no tatse.

Four of us arrived at 6pm to a full house it seemed at that time ! There was about 4 people ahead of us but saw 2 tables of 4 and 2tables together for party of 8 all empty ! Twenty minutes later we were seated , those two tables were still not being used ! To me that is unacceptable treatment ! We had a nice meal anyway but for me , sorry I will not be back !

I really liked the atmosphere ever time I go here and the service is not bad either. I have not had the experiences that other people have had below. I always get the pulled pork nachos which are amazing! The pizza is just okay, I would recommend the nachos every time.

Overall
The Worst Customer Service

I normally don't like to write bad reviews but the experience I had at The Ironwood Grill was just shocking. This was my second time going there. The first time was a absolute pleasure. The service was great and the food was even better. This why I'm torn in writing this review. Well lets get to it. My cousin and I couldn't wait to go back. We enter the restaurant and get greeted with all smiles. Within seconds we were greeted by our waitress who seemed to be ready to go home already with it only being around 5pm. We didn't mind her halfway smile so we ordered 2 strawberry daiquiris to start and a order of wings to start.

Our drinks come to the table and weren't blended well at all. There were chucks of ice so big it was hard to suck up. So my cousin told our waitress about the problem and she just stood there looking dumbfounded. So after a few seconds of her being awkward she said "oh well, I guess I will tell her to make you a new one." No apology or even a drop of concern. So she comes back with the drink literally over flowing with no napkins. My cousin asks her could we have some napkins and she says no problem but continued to stand at the table. He asked one more time so she left to go get napkins and threw them on the table. Immediately we asked for the manager.

Very disappointed with the service already the manager (Christine) cones over with our wings and we explain the problem. She quickly asked if we would like another waitress. We said yes hoping our experience would get better. We wait 5-10 minutes for a new server. While waiting we start to eat the wings and after a couple bites we realized the wings were very overcooked.

At this point we are just ready to leave. We tell the new server to take the wings back and give us the bill for the 2 drinks we barely touched.

Our new server comes back and tells us that we didn't have to worry about the drinks. I'm upset because the manager did not try to cone to our table and apologize for the bad experience we were having. She gave us no reason to come back to this restaurant. So I tell the server to go get the manager. We wait another 10 minutes to speak with her. When coming to the table she already had a guard up and was very defensive. I couldn't believe the way she was speaking with us. Overall left with a very bad taste in my mouth. Not only did she lose 2 costumers but now there will b a bad review on every site I can get it on. Instead of her giving us a gift card or something to make us come back, she chose to have a really negative attitude. Its a shame but I will be speaking to the owners.

true smokehouse...

Ironwood being a true smokehouse is an anomaly. A restaurant that delivers a great product by true professionals. Do you realize that 90% of the kitchen staff are either culinary students or graduates of schoolcraft college culinary? I must say that having been in the restaurant business, the quality of food that comes from a smokehouse kitchen, they must be doing something right.

Not Impressed

I was excited to order the shrimp salad until they put it down in front of me with cold, unseasoned shrimp that they pulled out of a frozen bag and thawed out! Have been there a couple of times and told that I could have a table but only had a certain amount of time to eat until they needed the table for someone else!! So unprofessional! Will not be racing back there anytime soon. I like The Penn Grill. For a small sports bar their food is amazing and I always have a good time.

disagree

I would have to disagree with the other post. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was very yummy! The service was fast, friendly and very honest about what was good on the menu. Also the draft beer was very well priced I would recommend going and giving it a shot. You also have to realize new restaurants take awhile to get going!

Overall
Plymouth dinner

I'm sorry but this place is horrid, the atmosphere is nice though.

I had the BBQ and a Pizza, both were less then stellar. The BBQ was flat out bad the brisket had no

flavor and was cut thick not sliced thin for the best effect. The pork was a mushy mass of over sauced crap

and the ribs were braised (boiled in the oven) on bbq'd. It was a disappointment to say the least.

The pizza was way to thin even for New York standards and soggy too. The sauce was great but when you pick up

a piece and it goes limp you know something is wrong.

Come on guys get it together and give us a half way decent product for the prices your charging. Also the selection

of side is sad and they do not complement the menu items at all. I heard its a test menu well if thats the truth

I give it an F.

The servers need just as much work as the food too, I would be very up set if I spent the money and time to

build an establishment and this is what my staff is putting out there for the customers.
