American Van Lines

I placed a deposit in early June 2017 for a coast-to-coast move at the end of July 2017. American Van Lines lured me in with competitive pricing and a professional sales staff, but things quickly turned negative after I placed my deposit.

American Van Lines backed out of the move after our agreed upon pick up date. They were difficult to reach and changed their plans leading up to the move, and they continued to change their estimated pick up time after the original pick up time had passed. Eventually, they cancelled completely, leaving all of our possessions with no place to go.

American Van Lines followed up their nonexistent service with shady business practices. Instead of refunding my money like an honest business would, they tried to strong-arm me into signing a waiver to stop me from writing about my experience with them. When I refused to sign such a document, they told me that it would take weeks to refund my deposit.

Do not do business with this untrustworthy company. My credit card company helped me get money back to hire a reputable mover. Otherwise, American Van Lines would have left me completely stranded. If you value businesses that stand behind their contracts, look elsewhere.

American Van Lines just moved me and my family for the 3rd time and they did a fantastic job again. Communication was great and the move team worked fast while taking care of all of our things. I highly recommend them. They are the mover I trust.

There were some issues with the move, however after seeing my review American worked with us to resolve the matters.

I've used this company twice in the past and this 3rd time was just as pleasant! I initially spoke to the President of the company Anthony & then communicated the rest of my move with Khadijah. Both were highly efficient in their communication skills. Their responses to my questions and emails were quick and on point. I am a single mother to a 20 month old and needed this move to as quick and painless as a move can be! This was a service they excelled at. On the day of my move the movers were on time, professional, and very friendly. They moved all of my items with care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company and they will continue to be the only company I will use in the future!

If you are planning a move, American Van Lines is the way to go. They came to the house and gave a complete walk through and came up with a price that was fair and reasonable. No one can do it over the phone like other companies. And moving day was a pleasure. The men who came were fast and friendly and did a wonderful job of wrapping up our furniture. The same men delivered the furniture too. No changing between trucks and other companies. This is a very reliable company.

Unable to revise previous review; American Van Lines proved to be efficient and very reasonable with my move from Miami to Tallahassee. The workers were professional and did very fine work. The office management was ultimately responsive to our needs. The cost was reasonable, and this company does not "low ball" estimates as many tend to do. I would recommend American Van Lines to folks who are planning a move.

It was moving day and the two gentlemen were ready to work, quickly dismantled all the furniture, wrapped it up and loaded it with ease. The guys were friendly and professional, had everything in the truck in no time. Then it was off to Delray Florida, about twenty minutes down the road, again the guys in no time had it unloaded and put the furniture back together and placed it in its proper place.
