Maxfields

This is a smaller college town so this bar is considered the more upscale of all. The drinks and food are over priced for the town but are good. Sometimes servers can be arrogant. Once a bartender took our change as a tip without giving us the chance to do it ourselves. Overall though in comparison with the other bars in town this is one of the better despite the flaws mentioned. I go to this bar semi regularly.

Huge disappointment. The restaurant had a restricted menu for student parent weekend. In this restricted menu all burgers and lower cost items were removed. This left the costs inordinantely high. For example; dinner for a party of four which included, four entrees, three appetizers, three sodas and one beer broke the $140 mark!! WITHOUT dessert and WITHOUT TIP!!

I found that while they "restricted the menu" they also failed to inform the patrons that they increased the price on each entree by as much as 30%!.

Unfair practice, possibly unethical. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

oh and by the way they prepared the steaks incorrectly and the food is mediocre at best and service was slow.

I wanted to give Maxfield's a no star rating but yp requires at least one star.
