Ultrasound
Ultrasound utilizes sound waves that produce images of the internal structures of the body. MD Imaging provides ultrasound solutions for a variety of medical needs including examination of breast tissue, to view abdominal and pelvic structures, and to evaluate blood flow and cardiac function. It can also determine a due date for pregnancy and monitor fetal growth.
MRI
Some MRI exams may require special instructions and will be advised at the time you book your appointment. Wear something that is comfortable and easy to remove. Please do not wear anything with metal for the exam such as clothing with zippers or snaps. You may be asked not to eat or drink anything for 4 hours prior to the exam.

X-Rays
Nuclear Medicine
Do not take any calcium supplements on the day of the exam. If you have had any nuclear medicine studies or x-rays using contrast, you must wait at least 7 days before having a Bone Density exam.
Mammography
Mammography is a highly sensitive diagnostic tool that can assist in the very early detection of breast cancer. With a single data set, it allows the physician to zoom in, to magnify, and to visualize different parts of breast tissue. Our women's imaging technologies contribute to a greater clarity of vision in order to help confirm rapid and accurate diagnosis.
Computed Tomography
After the myelogram portion of the procedure is completed, you will then be taken to have a CT scan. The entire procedure takes approximately 60-90 minutes. Please make arrangements for transportation, as you should not drive immediately after the myelogram.
Chemotherapy
PET scans are most often used to detect tumors, brain disorders, and heart disease. They can determine whether a tumor is malignant or not, whether cancer has spread or is responding to either radiation or chemotherapy. PET scans are also used to evaluate the damage from a heart attack and to locate the area in the brain that may be the source of epileptic seizures or Alzheimer's disease. PET is the most sensitive modality for the detection and the evaluation of malignant tumors.
Interventional Radiology
Dr. Gary Grossman is the Medical Director of MD Imaging. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY; completed his Residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY; and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr. Grossman is a specialist in Vascular and Interventional Radiology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology.
