I'm a US Air Force disabled veteran and I cannot say how grateful I am to Kelly McKenna for not only representing me with my social security claim but the professionalism and experience I received from her firm. I visited Kelly initially to sign releases giving her authority to obtain whatever she needed to build and present my case to Social Security. Kelly took care of everything, the only thing I had to do after the initial meeting was to show up at my hearing in front of a neutral judge along with my attorney (Kelly) and the attorney for Social Security. Kelly spoke on my behalf and after the hearing I learned that we had received a 100% fully favorable decision on my behalf. In addition to that ruling Kelly had argued that I be retroactively paid from when I filed back in 2012, but was denied. I have been disabled since 2010 went as far as a judge got denied. Was referred to a different attorney went again as far as another judge ended up getting denied. I ended up in kelly's hand I never once had to gather anything for her other than signing paper work anytime I had a question or concern all I had to due was send and email or a phone call she would get back to me the same day always with an answer. Im sure i was annoying at times but Kelly was always there for me she gave me the courage and support not to give up never did the lady brush me off and she fought for me and she won my disability case. I have known Ms. Cournoyer since 1994 when she represented a former client of mine. Being in the field of Human Services, I have seen many lawyers who request others to do a lot of the work for them. I became disabled in February, 2014 and did attempt to apply twice myself with no success. Ms. Cournoyer took my case and I was awarded SSDI in June , 2015, The only work I had to do was signed releases. She did such a good job that the hearing officer read the evidence and granted me SSDI without a hearing. I would recommend her to anyone who is appealing for Social Security benefits.

I contacted Kelly a couple of years after my initial application was denied. I started to appeal and then withdrew the appeal. I knew it was a confusing and difficult case, but I found Kelly in the yellow pages and took a shot. I am very glad that I did. I found at my very first visit that I did not feel like just another number, or dollar sign. She actually cared about me as a person and what I was going through, physically.
