Kitchen Remodeling

Flooring
Originally built as a modest farmhouse in the 60’s, followed by a poorly designed remodel/addition, this home was in desperate need of a revitalization. The client fell in love with the 2 acres of prime land but knew the existing 3700 sq.ft. residence would not work for their families’ needs. The design solution called for a complete gut to the studs & scramble of the existing floor plan. The kitchen was relocated from a dark corner into the existing light filled atrium, creating the heart of the home. The stairs were shifted to the end of the hallway, where a large stairwell window was added illuminating the upper hallway & great room below. The 2nd floor was completely reimagined with new primary bedroom suite, office, kid bedroom with ensuite bath and large guestroom/flex space. Finishes include knotty alder & painted cabinetry, quartz countertops, cottage tile, white oak hardwood flooring, handmade beams and custom cable railing.

Room Additions
An 1100 sq. ft second story addition over the existing garage includes two bedrooms, ¾ bath and bonus loft. This project also incorporated the existing breezeway and yard, approximately 280 sq. ft. into a laundry room and locker area connecting house to garage. Phase II of this projected consisted of a complete gut kitchen renovation including a small addition (80 sq.ft.) and a showpiece powder room. This gorgeous traditional style kitchen is an open concept layout that is great for entertaining with flawless views of Lake Sammamish. Cheers!

Window Installation/Replacement
Decks
Enlarging an existing bonus room by 500 sq. ft was the ideal office solution for this thriving home-based business. The new area is spacious enough to accommodate two long arm quilting machines, a combination kitchenette/desk/storage area as well as an oversize table for conducting classes. A separate entrance provides easy access for customers. The new room also features a vaulted ceiling, lots of windows and skylights, hardwood floors and brightly painted walls for a cheerful environment. The project also included new exterior decks and a built in BBQ area.
