Country Inns & Suites

This Friday we took our family and my parents out for what we hoped would be a nice dinner. Five of us ordered fish fry. When it arrived the beer batter was soaked in liquid on the bottom and all soggy. There was so much liquid in the fish that the water literally ran out of it when I picked it up. It soaked a quarter of a napkin. The outside breading was completely soaked in liquid.Everyone else was hungry and didnt want to wait so they peeled their beer batter off and ate it. I wanted mine beer battered so called the waitress over. She refried my fish and french fries. Basically dumping the whole plate of food back in back in. Cut up fish and all! That didnt work for the fish it came back worse now soaked in grease also and fries covered in grease!. I asked to speak to the owner who is always there "lurking" over everyone. He was very nice until he found out I had a provlem. It was like flipping a switch literally. I was totally nonconfrontational and started out by telling him we had been in before and how much we normally enjoy the fish fry. As soon as he heard that he was on the attack. His entire attitude changed and he told me "Thats funny nobody but you has had a problem all night!". Every member of our party who ordered the fish fry had the same problem! Plates full of liquid and soaked into the beer batter. Five people total. After I told him my problem and tried to talk to him he refused to listen or look at it and took my plate in the kitchen to "look at it" I left the restaurant crying. He was incredibly rude, demeaning and disrespectful. The owner made a scene in front of the tables around us while he attacked me for daring to have an issue. My husband dealt with him while I went to the car and the rest of our party packed up their food. He brought my plate back to the table. The same plate of food he took from me all dug up. The same plate that had now been in the kitchen twice and stated "there was nothing wrong with my fish and nothing he could do." Really?!? By this time my entire party had finished eating and about a half hour had past. The food was now ice cold! I was supposed to eat the food that had been handled by several staff members and poked through. The waitress agreed to get my husband a to go order of broiled fish to go after telling her his wife was NOT eating that fish. There is no doubt in my mind that she probably got in trouble for it after we left. Im not sure if they changed fish distributors or what and it really doesnt matter. Im there spending my money and when the food is subpar and he only not only will not take accountability for it but is so belittling to his customers and accussing them of lying when the evidence is right in front of his face its just not worth my money or time. I would strongly advise against eating her. We will not ever be back. Worse $100.00 we have ever spent! No reduction on price of meal.

Always great food. During our sales meeting this past week we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at The Country Inn and everyone raved about the food. Especially the slow cooked steaks. Big hit! Very nice owners.
