Tidal Construction

My husband and I rented a house for 3 years. After one year we decided to renew our lease. We never got a new lease mailed to us like we were told so we just kept paying month to month. We had a few maintaince issues that never got solved or took awhile. When our dishwasher broke it took 6 weeks for a new one. Our lightening in our house would dim if you use the microwave or plugged in anything in the outlets and our fireplace never worked. When I called about these issues nobody ever got back to us. We had to relocate for my husbands job so I put in a 30 day notice that we were leaving which obviously it wasn't a big deal since we were tied down into a lease. We were never late on rent never caused any issues and we put down 2,000 deposit when we moved in. $500 none refundable because we had a small dog and then $1500 security deposit. In our lease it stated that the security deposit was refundable. It's been 2 months since we moved out and I have been contacting the company to get part of our deposit back. During our walk through they stated the repairs would be about $300 we kept the house in excellent condition and there was just minor work after leaving there for 3 years that needed to be fixed. Everytime I call to see how much we are getting back I get an answer like we will call you back or so and so will call you. Nobody has ever return my call. Makes me think this company isn't giving us anything back or ever had an intention on giving us anything back. Do not rent from this company or buy a home. In our neighborhood there were a lot of unhappy homeowners because they are not all brick homes like what they claim to be. The homeowners that were selling their homes weren't because they were not getting anything close to the amount that they paid for. In my opinion these houses are poorly built which is why we have an electrical problem that never got fixed. I wished I knew more about this company before I rented with them. They have gone bankrupted a few times which I shouldn't have expected to get anything back because obviously they need the money. If you consider doing business with these people you need to do some research and choose not too because they will most likely screw you over.
