Whiplash
Whiplash occurs when the head is suddenly thrust in one direction, many times accompanied by a sudden stop in a different direction —putting tremendous strain on the neck. This often happens during collisions, like those that occur during auto accidents. Frequently, when one driver rear-ends another, the driver in front will often experience whiplash.
Joint Replacement
In this case, “X” represents a specific type of service (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, or chiropractic). Some plans place a limit on the number of covered visits per year (e.g., 20 visits), while others allow for unlimited visits. If you’re athletic, have chronic joint pain, or anticipate needing a joint replacement in the near future, you may not want any restrictions on the number of rehabilitative visits allowed.
Hip Replacement
“I visited RPT for 3 months starting in February. In that time, I took my right leg from zero muscle to full strength. My therapist Britten encouraged my doctor to get the x-ray I needed; sure enough, it found that the pain I was still living with was not a torn groin, but a bone-on-bone hip. After my hip replacement surgery, I was able to attain full recovery and function on the new hip. It took only six weeks to be released on my own. Thanks to Britten and all the staff at West Jordan.
